Black is bright Black is beautiful

"What is black?" "Presence of no colour" - said a Chinese. "Dark. Ghost color. Color of freaking Africans" - said an American. "Color of losers." -said an English. "Color of King Kong" -said a European kid. "Color of us. The Bright black" - said a Jamaican. "Color of Mani" - said a stranger.

A week before at midnight 2 AM
A black body moved towards the wardrobe. The wardrobe is filled with more Fairness cream than dress. The body picked a Fair and handsome tube from wardrobe and went to washroom. The body removed its dress. It started to apply Fairness cream to its entire body like applying bath soap. One can see the curiosity of becoming white or dislike or hatred of being black.

Now
The house looks like a bachelor accommodation. The same where the black person lives. It has a living room with two beds and also a bedroom with two beds. There is no one in the living room. One guy is present in the bedroom. Satheesh, his name. He is seeing, "Fire in Babylon" - a docu film on West Indies cricket. One of the players was saying, "Black is Bright, Black is beautiful." The person seeing this is not a West Indian though. He seems like an Indian. He turns back and starts to say about the black guy.
"Who Mani? He is a kind hearted and jovial person. He won't become serious for anything. We used to tease him a lot. He will take them easy. Very nice guy. But some thing is not going good for him these days. I scolded him. Infact I humiliated him. I shouldn't have done that.
During the initial days, he used to come from office. He used to hear some songs. He talked to his home. We had jovial discussions. It was last week when I saw that. I used to see one fair and handsome tube a day in our dust bin. I didn't know this black, sorry Mani used to do this. Last week,it was..."

A week before at midnight 2:19 AM
Satheesh found that the wash room is occupied. He adjusted the AC to 18 deg. Mani came out of the washroom with a towel and fairness cream was applied on its entire body.

"What is this Mani?", asked Satheesh.
               "Haven't you slept anna?"
"What is this Mani? Why all these?"
"I too have to become color right? Look at me. My complexion is as good as yours now. If I go out to street now. The Filipino girls will fall for me."
"Is that you the reason for the fair and handsome tube I see daily in the bin?"
"Yes, I have to beat Vignesh's complexion in a year. If things go like this, I will in couple of months." (Laughs loudly and moves towards mirror)

Now
"I don't understand why he did like that. I came to know he was doing like this for past two months. He did it in midnight so no one can make fun of him. Being the eldest person here, I had to do some thing. I was not able to bear his abnormal activities. I humiliated him. I shouldn't have done that. He was not speaking with me for these three days. Not with others in the room as well. But somebody had to stop him. I did that. He won't be mute for so many days. He has to live with us for eleven months a year. He will talk to us."

There is another person sitting in living room. He iss black in color. Will he be Mani?

"Mani is a mad. A complete package of madness. I'm Kathirvel.  The person who had the patience to share his room for these four months. He is a mad definitely. See that mirror, whenever he crosses that mirror, he stops and sees his face for three minutes. That black moron crossed the mirror for every five minutes. I didn't understand how he could see his worst face for long hours. The way Satheesh humiliated him is correct. He deserved it. I accept at any instant that I am not so white. Infact I am brighter than Mani. Did you know how he tortured me?"

In car while going to office,
Mani bringing his hand closer to Kathirvel, "See today I'm whiter than you."

While coming out from washroom,
"You cannot come closer to my color. See your color is like a crow."

In office room,
"Good Morning, sir. How are you? See the extra glow in my face."

In Khor Fakkan Beach
"One more year. Vignesh will look less white than me."

In nearby hotel,
"Look at me. I am looking whiter than this egg."

Now
"Not easy to tolerate him. He thinks that he is whiter than me. He even convinced me sometimes. Black dick. Sorry. Black dash. Satheesh gave him correct treatment. Will he open his mouth to talk about color here after? Will he ever use fairness cream once again? He will not."

Another person comes in. Whitest of the three. He should be Vignesh.

"Who?  Mani? He is such a nuisance. I don't know how one can survive with him. Then what? See! He thinks I am superior to him in office only because of color. How could I be in this position only because of being white? He will bring his hands near my hands now and then. I came to know that he was doing this to see his color tone.

He has literally become mad. Why literally? He has become mad. I came to know. Sorry, we came to know this when he spoke to me like that."

Three days back,
"Vignesh! Vignesh!  Get up.", shouted Mani infront of sleeping Vignesh.
             "What?"
             "Get up you white pig."
"Hey! Watch your words. I am your superior."
"That and all in office, you white pig."
             "Are you drunk?"
"If you are white, is it there that you can get a promotion every year?"
             "Hey."
"Don't raise your voice. You bastard. Sick fish."

Hearing this Satheesh and Kathirvel came from other room.

Satheesh interrupted Mani," Hey Mani! What is this?"
             "I didn't drink at all."
             "Then why all these?"
"If one is white in color and has good use of English, is he a superhero? See me. I am applying two tubes of Fair and handsome a day. I will also be a superhero in a year or so. I too know English (turns his face towards Vignesh) you white dog." (Opens the wardrobe and applies fairness cream like bath soap)
"What is this Mani?", asked Satheesh.
"I have to overtake this white dog."
"Mani!! Stop this!! Are you a mad? Look, a buffalo will not become a cow if it is painted white."
"You too Anna." Mani cried and shouted. He immediately made a call.
"Mom. This is Mani. Yeah, from Abudhabi. Mom! Please see a white girl for me to marriage. Atleast my child be white.".

Now
"Vignesh! He seems normal now. Let me go and talk to him.", said Satheesh.
Satheesh moved towards next room. Mani was seeing some Bob Marley song.
"Mani. Come lets go out to eat."
"In couple of minutes.", replied Mani.
 On the way to hotel,
Mani takes his hand towards Vignesh and says, "See! Color has increased a bit."
           "Not again."
"Leave it. Come on. Hey! You give a try to become as black as me. I give you two years time." All laughs.

Three days before

          "Mom. This is Mani."
"Yeah, from Abudhabi. Mom! Please see a white girl for me to marriage. Atleast my child will be white.".
Mani walked towards the mirror and started to cry. He opened the wardrobe. He took the fairness cream tube and threw them out of windows.

Few minutes before

Mani started to talk to himself, "Vignesh! The only bad thing in his life is to be my room mate. Why I spoke like that? Will he talk to me again? Kathirvel! He will never ever talk with me here after. I had a great respect for Satheesh. Will he ever talk to me again?"
Satheesh came from his room and asked, "Mani. Lets go out to eat."

Pithru Devo Bhava - Father who went to hunt

Dubai, the city which never goes dark. The land of opportunities. The city with mix of all races. Native Arabs, Indian, Filipinos, Pakistanis, Srilankans, Bangladeshis, Europeans and many more. The city which is ready to give anyone the happiness, money and many more. The skyscrapers in Sheik Zayad Road, the beautiful Jumerah beach, number of malls, the tallest Burj Khalifa, clean roads ensure that the person lives in one of the best cities. But it holds sorrow of many people out there. The sorrow of separation.

1992, Mayavaram, India.

The sun is set to give way for darkness. The car came towards the street near Mayuranathaswamy Temple. Kids were playing games in the street. One small kid ran towards the person who came down from the car.
"Appa I won in lock and key today."
                    "Good."
Sivasamy took a chocolate he bought for his kid and gave it to him. He went inside the house and called his wife Parvathy. They both have kid Vijayan who is two and a half years old. Parvathy is pregnant and expecting a baby in couple of months.
                   "Parvathy. I need your decision."
                   "For what?"
Vijay came and sat on the lap of Sivasamy.
"The time of calculating to buy everything is over."
                   "How?"
"This thousand rupees a month car driving life is over. Do you know Ganesan?"
"Yes. The driver who worked with you in travels."
"He left to Dubai eight months back. He earns 1200 Dirhams per month for driving car. Nearly 10000 Rupees per month. They need more drivers. Guess what? He has suggested my name and I am leaving in couple of months. Vijayan can study in English medium school. A for Apple, B for Ball."
"But how many months once you will come?"
"One month per year. Company itself pays for ticket. They give salary for that month as well. I am allowed to call home once in a month. Five minutes for free."
"One year once? You can live happily here with what you earn. Why should you leave us?"
"Don't be silly Parvathy. I have to give Vijayan and the baby good life. They should get whatever they want. They should not feel like me in future that their father didn't give them good opportunities. I'm not going there once for all. I will be coming here for a month every year. When our children settle in their life, I'll be back to India once for all."
After long discussion, Sivasamy convinced Parvathy.

Two months later

"Are we going to Ooty?", asked Vijayan to his dad seeing him packing his dress.
                    "Yes."
"Where are my dresses? Where are mom's?"
"Parvathy! Why didn't you pack Vijayan's dress? Pack them."
Vijayan was very happy when his mother packed the dresses. He did not know that this was all lie, He did not know his father would be available only one month a year from then. He was very happy thinking that they were going for a picnic. He took his favorite dress and gave it to his mom.

Next day morning,
The car was returning back from Chennai airport after sending off Sivasamy. Vijayan woke up and found his dad missing.
                "Mom, where is dad?"
"He went for his work. Our Ooty trip is cancelled. He sent us back in half way."
"When will he come back?" Vijayan started to cry.
"Don't cry. He will come in next week. He will get you chocolates when he comes back."
                "I need Dairy milk."
"I will ask him to bring 10 Dairy milk. Don't cry. Stop it."
Vijayan slept after some time. Parvathy touched her stomach and felt the movements of her baby. Tears came out of her eyes.

Dubai
Sivasamy came out of the airport. Ganesan came to pick him. Sivasamy was explaining about his first flight experience. They went to the office where the Malayali boss of them welcomed in good manner. Sivasamy completed his joining procedures and gave his passport to the owner. It took 20 days for him to take driving license. The free telephone day came. 26 days since he came to Dubai. He didn't speak to his family till then. He called at 4:30 PM Dubai time.
                  "Hello."
                  "Hello."
                  "Sivasamy speaking. How are you?"
"I'm fine. How are you? Are you getting good food over there? Everyday Vijayan waits in entrance waiting for you. I'm struggling to convince him daily."
                  "Is he there?"
                  "Yes."
                  "Give it to him."
"Vijayan, dad is calling you. He is on the line.", called her mom.
                  "Appa."
                  "Vijayan, did you have snacks?"
                  "When will you come dad?"
"I'll bring you lot of chocolates when I come back. Do listen to what mom says. Okay."
"Two more minutes", said the telephone incharge.
                  "Give it to mom, Vijayan"
"No. Tell me when will you come back." Vijayan started to cry.
"I got struck in a jungle. I'm finding it difficult to hunt the lion. After hunting it, I'll come back. Give it to mom."
Vijayan gave the telephone to Parvathy.
"Have we taken a wrong decision?", asked Parvathy.
"Why do you say like like that?"
"30 seconds more", said the telephone incharge.
"Don't worry. I'm doing good here. Somethings have to be compromised in life. I don't have good education to earn more money. More money means quality life to our children. I have only 15 more seconds. Take care. God is with us."

The memories of his family made him uneasy. Ganesan took him to the beach nearby. The sound of waves gave him happiness. He heard a song running in the background. He turned towards that side and found a group of kids dancing together.

He wend towards there and he felt happy to see those kids. Vijayan's face came to his mind. Tears came out of his eyes.

Ganesan saw him crying and took him to the room.
"It hurts. It will. But it is not good to cry."
"When I saw those kids with their parents, I felt bad. Similarly Vijayan, that small kid will feel the same when he sees some kid with his father."
"I can understand. But things will be accustomed. It will."
"Parvathy is expecting a baby next month. I'm here. I will not be able to see my child for ten months. Will my child come to me after ten months? This life is not sweet for us."
"Sleep well. After you complete four years, you can go twice a year as well."

Next month after the call,
"Ganesan, God blessed us with a baby girl. She was born twenty days back. Do you know her name? Sivagami. "
                    "Very good."
"She is white as her mother."
"Very good. I'll go to your place on my vacation next month. I will take a photo of your child and bring it to you."
                    "Thanks Ganesan."

Few days after, Ganesan and Sivasamy went for shopping. He bought clothes for Vijayan and Sivagami. Ganesan went for the vacation and Sivasamy is the lone man in the room. He started to come out of sadness and took the life as it was. But he used to be upset for the two days after every monthly calls. He used to see the photograph of their children in those days.

The day came. Siavasamy's first vacation. He landed on Chennai airport. His wife and children came there to pick him up. Vijayan ran and hugged him. He took Sivagami and she smiled at him. He kissed her. The 30 days went like a minute. He started to pack the clothes. Vijayan came and stopped him.
"Dad. I will not allow you to pack the dress."
"Parvathy. Pack his dress as well."
"No, dad. We are not going anywhere. Let us be here in this home. I will not allow you to go out."
"Oh my son! Do you know what? I killed a lion right."
                    "Yes, In the jungle."
"I got a phone from the jungle. One more lion has come to the jungle and killing everyone over there. Should I go there and kill that lion?"
"Yes, Shall I come with you?"
"No. The lion doesn't like children. I will take you with me when you grow up."
                    "Okay."
Years passed by. The kids realised that their father was working in some other country for their welfare. One month a year visit became fifteen days in every six months. They wait for that fifteen days for being together with their father. The cellphones and internet made their once in a month calls, once in five days call.

June, 2005
                  "Two good news Ganesan."
                  "Good. Good."
"Vijayan scored 94 percent in Tenth exam. Sivagami attained puberty. I have to be there. But see."
"Don't start to cry again. Thirteen years are over."
"Why should I? Three more years, after my son joins college, I will head back to India. I will set up a departmental stores. Three flats and some sovereigns of gold. All I achieved. I need to spend some time with them. I will take Sivagami to school daily. I should have done this when she was in primary. But she can understand. And I will ask my son to ride his motorcycle and go with him for a long distance. No more Deira, Bur Dubai and Karama. Hereafter Mayavaram, departmental stores and time with my family."
"Great Sivasamy. I am proud of you. Will you give me a job in your department stores."
"(Laughs) With the amount you have saved, you can have your own. Infact two of them."

April, 2008
"My last phone call from here. Last one. I will be with you all from now on."
"So no more lion hunting, dad(Laughs)"
"I know how bad you would have felt. Separation. It hurts. From being a kid, till now. Bad father I am."
"No dad. You're always nice except for one thing. Now I am grown up. Eighteen years old. An Engineering student. I guess you will take me while you go for lion hunting."
"The lions are back to Mayildauthurai(laughs). No more separations for lion hunting hereafter."
"Okay dad. Safe journey. I'll be in Mayiladuthurai and I have to come back to Coimbatore for my semester exam. After the exam, let us do the hunting together."

At Mayiladuthurai,
"Welcome home, Dad. Waiting to be with you for a long time. Atleast Vijayan was with you for two and a half continuous years.", said Sivagami.
"Don't worry. Your dad will be with you forever."
"Parvathy! You are a great woman. You have brought them up single handedly."
                "Dad", came Vijayan from inside.
"Vijayan. Good my boy. When is your exams?"

"Sure,. Let us go for Ooty then."

"Vijayan! Call from home.", Murali gave the phone to Vijayan.
"I usually used to say about the exam paper to her. Today I didn't. That is why she would have called."
"Hello Mom today's exam is easy. I have done well."
"Good.Vijayan (cries)! Your dad has met up with an accident and died. Start immediately."

"You came in single day.", asked Murali.
"My dad said to my mom when he was in hospital to send me back(cries)"
               "Sorry Vijayan. Don't cry."
"When I was kid, he used to say he went for lion hunting and it took a year to hunt and come back. He said the same still I went to my third standard. This time he went to hunt lion without informing me and this time the wild lion killed him."

Mathru Devo Bhava - Aryamba's Sankara

788 CE, Kaladi, present Kerala
"Aryamba! Finally God heard your prayers. You are pregnant. It seems a baby boy."
"Thanks Kuchala. God has given a happy ending for 14 years of tragedy. Thirussur Vadakkunathar is a powerful God. I have to say my husband the good news.", said Aryamba.
Aryamba and Sivaguru were couples lived in Kaladi. They were married since fourteen years and were childless.
             "Anna! Anna! Good news."
"What is the news?", asked Sivaguru.
"We are going to have a baby boy. Our prayers have been heard by God. Yes, I'm pregnant. Physician confirmed it."
"That too a boy. Siva himself will be born as our child."

After nine months,

It was a fine day in Kaladi. Sivaguru's house was located in the banks of river Poorna. Aryamba started to feel heavy pain. Sivaguru rushed to doctor's house.
             "Where is the doctor?"
"She has gone to Poorna river to take bath. She will be back in ten minutes."
Sivaguru ran towards Poorna river. Doctor was taking bath then.
"Doctor! Doctor! Aryamba is feeling heavy pain. Can you please come?"
              Doctor started to Sivaguru's home.
Sivaguru walked from end to end in entrance of the home. He was not able to bear the pain of his wife. He walked towards Poorna river. The sound of his wife out of pain was audible even there. He suddenly realized that the sound of pain stopped. He ran towards the home. While he neared the home, he heard the sound of a baby crying. The door of the home was locked from inside. He waited curiously for the doctor to come out. Doctor came out and said.
"Sivaguru! Your son looks exactly like you. Aryamba wants to see you. Go in. Get me sweet tomorrow. Paladapradaman with excess of sugar."
             "Sure."

Sivaguru ran to the room and stopped two steps before his son. He saw his face and went silent for couple of minutes. He slowly moved towards his son and touched his right palm. He saw his wife and moved towards her.
"God has showered his love towards us. What are we going to give back?", he said and tears started to come out of his eyes. He held Aryamba's hand.

After ten days, naming ceremony
"Sivaguru, what name you have chosen for your child?"
             "Aryamba!", Sivaguru called his wife.
"He is a God's Gift to us. We are naming our child Sankara after him."
Aryamba said child's name Sankara thrice in his ear. So as her husband.

Sankara showed great brilliance, patience, cleverness and he started to say mantras with his mother when he was one and a half years old. He had a good affection and love towards his parents.
One day when Sankara was 4, Sivaguru fell ill. He was not able to breath easy. Doctor came to their home and was not able to figure out the reason why it had happened so. She tried different herbal leaves and formulas. But Sivaguru's sickness aggravated day by day. He passed away. Sankara was four then. The age which could not understand death. People started to come and see Sivagiri before he was taken to burial ground. Sankara became happy since everyone started to visit his home. He was not able to understand why his father was sleeping for such a long time. He also did not understand why everyone was crying seeing his father. He went to Aryamba and said,
"Mother. Why all are crying after seeing the father? Ask him to get up and say the goat joke so that everyone will laugh. No. No. Don't disturb him. I'll go and say."
Sankara opened his mouth to say the joke which his father used to say him. Aryamba stopped him. She hugged him and started to cry again.
"Mom! Why are you crying? Why are you crying?"
Sankara started to cry seeing his mother and everyone crying.
He did all funeral duties to his father without knowing what was happening.

After four years,
"Aryamba! Why can't you come with me to Thirusur. I take the responsibility of performing Sankara's Upanayanam. He is seven now. Let us put him in the Patasala. Why should you starve here in Kaladi? There is no one to take care of you.", said Aryamba's brother.
"No Reghu. I won't. I have Sankara to take care of me and he has me to take care of him. I want to live in the place where his father lived with me."
"People around me will talk evil if I leave you alone."
"I'm not coming. Tell them that I am mad. Tell them that I will be troubling everyone if I come there."
"Arya I don't know why are you doing like this. You are spoiling Sankara's future."
"Thank you very much for your wishes. I'm making lunch for you. Please eat and go. You can come here at anytime to see your sister and to see how your sister's son is being spoiled."

After two days in Aryamba's home

              "Sankara!"
              "Mom."
              "Did you finish saying Slokas?"
              "Yes."
"Do you like to live in uncle's home in Thirusur?"
              "For how many days, mom?"
              "Once for all."
              "Will Loganathan come with me?"
"No. His parents stay here. How will he come?"
"Hmmm. Will Poorna river flow in Thirusur?"
              "No."
              "Okay."
"I will not be staying with you in Thirusur. Your uncle will bring you here once in 15 days."
"No, mom. I'm not going there. I can't go without Loganathan."
              "So. Not for me?"
              "Hmmm. I don't know."
"Amma. Loganathan is wearing poonal. He said we have to do upanayanam to wear it. When is my upanayanam, mom. He also said father has to do it. Then who will do my upanayanam?"
"I... I will ask our pandit about your upanayanam. Your uncle will do all rituals that has to be done by father."
            "When mom?"
            "In an auspicious day."
            "When is it?"
            "I have to ask pandit."
"Okay. What should I do after my upanayanam?"
"You have to learn all Vedas and become a scholar. All have to say that Aryamba's son is a great scholar. Will you do that?"
            "Yes, mom. I will."

In Pandit's home
"Sankara will be seven in coming month. This is the right time for his upanayanam."
"Very brilliant boy. I have seen him telling slokas in Krishnan temple. There is an auspicious day 4 days after Visu. We will have it on that day."
"Thanks. I am planning to send him to you for learning Veda.  I want him to become a Vedic scholar."
"All is in the hands of Eswara."

On the day of Upanayanam in one of the local houses,
There was a local couple who were back from the upanayanam,
"Lalitha. She has succeeded. Aryamba is a great woman.  She has raised the kid without her husband. She has managed to serve good food for each everyone. She did not borrow money from anyone."
"Ya. She is. She brought up her son very well. Sure he will become a scholar. Did you see how nicely Sankara help her mother? Very nice boy. God have to give blessings to him. Aryamba came to me and cried. She said how the event mattered to her. She is living each and every second for Sankara. Her prayers has to come true."
            "It will."

Sankara learnt Vedas from the pandit. He learnt all the three Vedas Rig, Yajur and Sama in a span of five years. He was able to say any verse in Veda.
"Mom. I have kept the bhiksha rice here."
            "Okay."
"Mom. I have learnt all the three Vedas. I feel I have to renounce my life and take Sanyasa."
"Don't ever talk like that. Close your mouth. Why should you take Sanyasa? It is not that easy."
"I know it mom. I understood that one can be enlightened only when he knows oneself. Renouncing is a route to it."
"I like to see my grandchildren. I want to play with them. I want to go to Krishna temple and say sloka with you daily. I don't want to sit and think about your whereabouts. You are fourteen years now. This is the time for you to get married and not to become Sanyasi. You can go and help Pandit. You can learn more."
"My wish is to take Sanyasa and travel all holy places and to know more about God and religion. But fulfilling mother's wish is a Dharma for every son. As you wish."
Aryamba got a guilty feeling that his son would leave from her. She wanted him to stay with her forever. She started to see bride for Sankara.

Next day morning in the Poorna river,
"Mom! It has been a long time I swimed to the opposite shore. Water is flowing very slow. Shall I swim to the shore in the other end?"
           "Be careful."
Sankara started to swim in the river which was about 50 meter wide. He crossed to the opposite direction and started to swim towards the other end. Suddenly the flow of river increased. Sankara started to move towards the direction of flow of water. He became invisible at a point of time. Aryamba ran towards river to rescue him. People around stopped her.
"I want to save my son. Leave me.", yelled Aryamba.
"Don't be silly. If you go in now, you will die.", said Parvathi, a local woman.
Aryamba tried to jump into river. Parvathi stopped her and took her to home. Aryamba started to cry.
"Mahadeva! He wanted to stay away from me by taking Sanyasa. I said no to him. Now you took away him from me.Why do you take his life? I would have said yes when he asked. Please give him back to me. I will send him to  Sanyasa as he wished"
"He is not dead. There are chances he will come back. Why chances? He will comeback for sure. Why are you giving such promises to God?"
"He has to live. He has to."
           "He will."
Sankara came inside the room. Aryamba ran towards him. She slapped him and hugged him.
"Why are you crying mom?", asked Sankara.
"You are free to take up Sanyasa. I won't be a barrier.", replied Aryamba. She continued to cry. Parvathi left the home meanwhile.
           "Mom. Please stop crying."
           "Tomorrow. You can start."
           "Mom. Please stop crying."
Aryamba wiped her tears. She stopped crying and continued in a bold tone.
"My wish is that you have to take Sanyasa."
           "As you wish mom."

The next day morning Aryamba got up. Sankara was taking bath and was wearing saffron dress. Her mind insisted to stop him. But she could not.
A voice from Aryamba's home entrance, "Bhavathi Bhiksham Dehi. Bhavathi Bhiksham Dehi."
Aryamba took rice to give as Bhiksha. When she came out she found that the boy is Sankara. Her heart said stop him. But her hands were placing rice in Sankara's plate. Sankara took his first Bhiksha from his mother after renouncing.

Days gone by. Aryamba spent her days thinking about Sankara's childhood days. She used to offer prayers daily in Krishnan temple for Sankara. She got news that his son has been called as Sankaracharya by every one and he was treated like God. Sankaracharya created Atharvana Veda, the fourth Veda. He acted as ambassador of God. Some even took him as an avatar of God.

He spread the belief of Hinduism in all corners. He wrote new slokas. When he went to Moogambika to worship Goddess, she literally saw his mother's face through the Goddess idol. He thought of going to Kaladi.

"Aryamba! Sankaracharya is going to visit Kaladi. We are blessed. Avatar of our very own Eshwara."
"(Coughs) I have to get out of here."
                    "Why?"
"He is Sankaracharya. Avatar of Eswara to everyone. He could be. He challenged his death when he was 14. But he is Sankara to me. The same old Sankara. I know he will come back. To see me. But he is Sanyasi now. How can he have feeling of relationship being a Sanyasi? Definitely he will come and see me. That is incorrect. I leave(Coughs rigorously)."
"You are not looking good today. (Touches her neck) Oh my God. It is very hot. Come let me take you to doctor."

After two months,

"Sankaracharya has come to Krishnan temple. He will be giving a speech today."
"Aryamba will be happy if she sees him. She died in young age. Unlucky woman."
                    "What?"
                    "Yes. She died today morning."
                    "What?"
                    "Yes."
"I'm going to say this to Sankaracharya."

Parvathi in temple. She ran towards the place where Sankaracharya was meditating. He was in deep meditation then.

"Guruji. Guruji. Your mom has died today morning. Just few hours before. Guruji. Guruji."

Sankaracharya did not open his eyes. He continued to be in meditation. Parvathi left from there as his disciples said her to go away and not to disturb. When Sankaracharya finished his meditation, one of his disciples went to him and said that his mother has died. Sankaracharya marched towards Aryamba's home.

"Guruji. You are not supposed to come here.", said one of the persons waiting for her funeral.
"She is my mother.", replied Sankaracharya.
"She was. You are a Guru. It is not necessary to explain you that there is no mother, father or any other relation for a Sanyasi."
                   "Eshwara! Please allow me."
                   "I won't"
"Let me do the funeral rituals to my mom."
"We won't allow a person who do rituals to God to do for a human being."
                   "She is my God."
"Be like a Guruji. We won't let you in."

The local pandit interrupted and said, "It is not correct to stop Guruji. What he said is right. Whatever he does is correct. Mother is a prime God. Let him do the rituals."
                   There was intense discussion.
"Whom do you call a God?"
"The one who crated us, the one who protects us,"
"Yes. I'm here because of her. She is my God.She is the first God I've seen in the earth. You said it is duty of me to do the rituals to God. Let me do my rituals to God."

The people who opposed became silent. Aryamba's body was taken to the banks of river Poorna and was burried.

Sankaracharya sat near the place where she was burried and did meditation for more than 10 days. He created slokas for mother and chanted it. He bowed near the place where his mother was buried  He started to leave. He injected belief of Hinduism. He is called as Adisankaracharya even now. He is in high praise in everyone's mind since he said mother is the prime God - Mathru Devo Bhava.
